Want to teach mindfulness to children or adults in your school or program? Kym has nearly 10 years of experience practicing mindfulness, and five years experience teaching mindfulness to children and young adults. Mindfulness is something that quite literally changed my life. I went from overreacting and being angry all the time to responding in a calm manner and staying more present with friends, family, and my job without ruminating on the negative. This professional development will explore how to stay present and out of your head, how to observe emotions and thoughts, develop compassion for the self and others, and how to go from reacting in a negative way to responding in a calm way. Research has proven over and over that mindfulness is effective for increasing executive functioning skills, emotion control,
