Kym is a certified facilitator of CCCT which is from the National Childhood Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). This training is geared toward beginning mental health clinicians or school mental health staff and can be modified for school/non profit administrators and/or teachers/direct support staff.
Participants are guided through a case of a child with trauma and learn the problem-based learning (PBL) process, assess protective and risk factors across ecological systems, discuss and apply practices to reduce secondary traumatic stress (STS), and dive into the application of the 12 Core Concepts from the NCTSN in order to hypothesize and conceptualize the best plan for support or treatment for the child and/or their family.

Allows school or program teams to understand their role in assisting children who are struggling as a result of a traumatic experience
