Behavior Management 101

This training is for staff who are very new to working with youth. We will cover:

  • Structure & clear limits

  • Active supervision

  • Developing positive reinforcement systems

  • Appropriate consequences.

    **It is hands on, active and incorporates real life examples.

Behavior Management 201

This training is designed for staff with some experience working with youth. Topics include:

  • Co-regulation

  • Secondary traumatic stress and burnout

  • Crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques

  • Managing difficult student disclosures

  • Collaborative problem-solving of real-life scenarios participants face.

An advanced training for well-seasoned staff and/or beginning leaders. We will cover:

  • Collecting behavior data

  •  Tailored and individualized interventions including behavior plans

  • Communication with parents

  • Collaboration with the program/school administrators and community resources

  • Problem-solving real-life scenarios.
